Have you ever been so fully engaged in a mission that your body, heart, and mind felt like they were all perfectly aligned? Have you ever found yourself in a state of flow and synchronicity where it almost felt that the whole universe was conspiring to support you? Have you ever experienced a moment, or week, or year when your life just seemed to make sense — when your gifts, the world’s needs, and the support to connect the two were seamlessly interwoven together? The more you align with your own unique personal purpose, the more these instances will become less a spontaneous occurrence and more a simple way of being.
At the Global Purpose Movement we are convinced that purpose can serve as a unifying force for humanity. Join us at The Purpose Summit to find out.

|The Greatest Opportunity We Have Ever Had||Daniel Pinchbeck|
We are living in a time of accelerating progress and existential threat. In humanity’s rush to industrial globalization, we have unleashed an ecological emergency that could bring about our own extinction in the short term or lead to a civilizational crash. However, if we overcome our fear and distraction, we can realize that this emergency is also our greatest opportunity: Awakening to the challenge, we can rapidly reinvent and redesign our technical and social infrastructure to make a transition from a destructive virus on the Earth to a planetary immune system, caring for the health and diversity of the biosphere as we enhance the lives of everyone on Earth. Let’s consider how we bring about this great transition.
The tricky part about purpose is keeping both the ultimate and the relative in mind. In the ultimate domain, there is no actual purpose in any real sense—everything, exactly as it is right now, is utterly and radically perfect—the Great Perfection. But then in the manifest, relative realm, everything is lacking something, and purpose is the way that those missing holes are filled—which also gives a relative meaning to the relative self (which definitely has a relative reality!). So it is in relative reality where we get to the AQAL Framework and Integral Theory—while keeping it grounded in the ultimate truth of nondual spirit.
Our current cultural moment demands the very best from us individually and collectively. In an age of ever-accelerating cultural rhythms, of hyper-complexity, and of tech ubiquity, what is the future of human flourishing and, most importantly, how do we practice and propagate it? A common thread unifying the range of possible answers is, simply put, cultivating deep purpose. Finding purpose and making meaning is at the core of the human enterprise–it fuels motivation, builds resilience, gives focus and direction to our lives, and galvanizes communities into transformation. During this talk we will explore the intersection of purpose and human flourishing because without deep purpose there exists no foundation for individual or collective flourishing.
A new paradigm is emerging at the cutting edge of the contemporary sciences of nature, life, and mind. This is a revolutionary paradigm fundamentally different from the mainstream interpretation of cosmos and consciousness. Acquaintance with this paradigm changes the way we think of ourselves and of the world. We obtain fresh answers to perennial questions, such as where have we come from? where are we going? and who are we? If we have a purpose in life, that purpose will be encompassed by the new paradigm. But to discover it we each have to inquire ourselves — the framework and the key concepts for doing so are offered in the new paradigm.
Social-, cognitive-, and neuroscience have a lot to tell us about how people actually change their minds and how they are inspired to take action. In this talk, learn how the science of consciousness transformation can boost your effectiveness as a change agent. Make your talks, strategies, and media more engaging and powerful by incorporating specific strategies that research indicates work to change worldviews and behaviors, and avoiding methods that science indicates are ineffective or unintentionally counterproductive. We will also explore the qualities one might practice and embody to enhance their change-making work, such as dignity, authenticity, trustworthiness, vulnerability, and inspiration.
For centuries, science has assumed the universe is “dead” or non-living at its foundations. New discoveries are transforming this view and science is beginning to reconsider Plato’s ancient insight that, “The universe is a single living creature that contains all living creatures within it.” In this emerging understanding, the universe is a unified living system that is almost entirely invisible and permeated by an ecology of consciousness. We humans are an integral aspect of this larger aliveness and, like the universe itself, we also are almost entirely invisible. We are both biological and cosmic beings. We are bio-cosmic. With this growing understanding, humanity is beginning to turn from the material exploitation of a dead universe to an entirely different life-trajectory — learning to live in a living universe. Our bodies are biodegradable vehicles for this precious learning.
Are you at a crossroads? Are you awash with the many opportunities to satisfying your desires and nurture your values? If so, it is time to purposefully, intentionally write this next chapter of your life. We’ll do two powerful exercises, one to reveal the deeper threads of your personal narrative, connecting your deepest values and greatest achievements, and another to physically move you into the next chapter of your purposeful life.
What is well-being and how does it relate to purpose? How does our experience of well-being lead to transformation in ourselves as well as throughout social systems? In this panel, scientists, clinical psychologists and social purpose instigators Dr. Cassandra Vieten (President, IONS), Claudia Welss, (IONS Board Chair, NEXUS Invest in Yourself Co-Founder) and Dr. Shamini Jain (Founding Director, Consciousness and Healing Initiative), share the science and practice of well-being (including hedonic and eudaimonic aspects of well-being), and explore with you, how the well of our being leads us to better understand and fuel our personal and planetary purpose.
Join DJ Taz Rashid and Jon Darrall-Rew of the Global Purpose Movement in this event that will combine collective meditations to awaken our consciousness and every person’s unique purpose with conscious movement, great music, binaural beats and dance. We see purpose as an electric current of empowerment, clarity and creativity that lies at the core of every being, and dance as a highly effective way to support us to embody our purpose. Max Gaenslen will also utilize principles of Integral Transformative Practice to bring the group into a collective state of embodied consciousness, wonder and play. We will engage this evening event as a collective ritual that can link us up with humanity as a whole during these crucial times of our collective journey.

The ITP Kata is a 40-minute series of non-strenuous exercises designed to articulate all the muscle groups and joints in the body and involves deep rhythmic breathing, relaxation, transformational imaging and meditation. Created as a daily practice by George Leonard, Aikido sensei and ITP founder, the Kata vitalizes, balances and harmonizes one’s entire being.
In this breakout session, we will practice both inner and outer listening through play, sound, rhythm, and movement. The problems we face as a planet require us to work creatively and efficiently together. To do so, we must learn to maintain connection with ourselves, while also attuning to the larger group. Music is a great place to practice this balance. For example: Can I hear myself, while simultaneously feeling the rest of the group? How is my part fitting in with the whole? From where in my body am I expressing? Are we coherent as a group, or incoherent? Come practice this dynamic way of listening and expressing as a collective.
